Step by step

Before you start, you'll need:

Step 1 - Set up your preferences 

1. Open and turn on your Windows laptop 

2. Select your language and select 'Yes'

3. Select your region and select 'Yes'

4. Select your chosen keyboard layout and select 'Yes'. Select 'Skip' when asked to add a second keyboard layout. 

5. Select your Wifi, if you're at home select your home wifi. Ensure to tick the box 'connect automatically' or you may have to select the wifi again. If you're in the office then select ITV-DEP

6. The laptop will now start to configure, this can take a few minutes. The laptop will then restart.

Step 2 - Using your ITV credentials to set up the device

If you're setting up from the office, you'll need to connect to ITV-DEP wifi again here. 

1. Enter your ITV email address and select 'Next'

2. The Okta login page will appear, please enter your ITV email and password that you set up earlier and verify it's you.


3. The laptop will then begin configuring again. please be patient as this can take a while! The laptop will then restart.


Step 3 - Logging into your new laptop for the first time

1. If you set up in the office, you'll need to click on the globe icon (highlighted) and click ITV. Use your ITV email as the username and ITV password in the password box. If you set up from home, ignore this step.

2. Hit the spacebar or click the screen to open the login page. Use your ITV email and password to log in. 

3. The device may take a few minutes to log in for the first time, hold tight!

Step 4 - Set up Windows Hello

Window's Hello allows you to log into your new Windows laptop quicker and more securely. 

1. You can either use face recognition (this is quicker) or fingerprint. Select the method you prefer or select 'Skip for now' if you'd rather not use Windows Hello.

2. Follow the on-screen instructions for your chosen method 

3. Create a PIN, this will allow you to log in to the laptop if Windows Hello doesn't recognise you. Your PIN must be 6 digits long.

Step 5 - Choose your laptop build and download the apps you need

The first time you log in to your laptop, you will need to select your build. Your local TechZone should have told you this but please contact TSD or TechZone if you are unsure. Do not continue if you do not know your build type.


1. Select your build and then select 'Done' 

2. You will now be able to see the apps that are relevant to your role, please scroll through and download the ones you require.

Step 6 - Log in to ZScaler and myITV

1. Select 'Accept' on the ZScaler pop up

2. Log in and verify it's you via Okta, you should now be signed in to ZScaler! Contact TSD if you have any issues.

3. Open 'Google Chrome' and select 'Sign in with Okta' on the myITV page

4. Follow the Okta guidance and verify it's you. The myITV website will then open. 

Step 7 - Share your feedback
